The Samoa Fiafia Park will be reopening for one day only during the White Sunday holiday and offer special prices on rides, food, and drinks for children.

The one-time reopening of the park was confirmed by the owner of both the park and Magic Circus of Samoa, Tupa'i Bruno Loyale, in a telephone interview with the Samoa Observer.

Earlier this month, Tupa'i announced that the Samoa Fiafia Park would temporarily close its doors for coming months due to the impact of the COVID-19-led economic downturn.

Tupa'i said that the biggest motivation for him to reopen the park for one day only was for children. He decided that the park cannot be closed on the White Sunday holiday.

The Samoa Fiafia Park will be opening next month on 12 Monday from 1pm to 9pm; all the rides will be $1 and specials on food and drinks will be offered.

The park reopening for the white Sunday holiday was also due to requests from sponsors of the Samoa Fiafia Park, according to Tupa'i.

"Let’s just open for one day to let the kids have a good time,” Tupa'i said.

“All the rides for the kids are only $1 just to celebrate White Sunday.

"We will just open up for that one day and let the kids enjoy the White Sunday and let the parents have a place to take their kids."

Tupa'i explained that they are soon to start the Circus village tour and Vaitele will be the first village the Magic Circus of Samoa will visit from 7 to 10 October.

He further explained that ongoing maintenance costs make running the park difficult but he hopes that many people will arrive for White Sunday.
