Mother contented with her lot in life

Sinatailua Wright, from the village of Leauva’a uta, is a proud mother.

She is contented with the life her family has now.

“As a mother, when you have children of your own, they are going to depend on you no matter how old they become and when they have their own children, it’s the same thing. That’s just the circle of life,” she told the Village Voice.

“It’s a tough life but I’m thankful that I was blessed with children because even though I don’t need much, having them around makes me strong to do my everyday duties.

“I’m not saying that life is easy now, it’s still hard but I like to think that it gets easier day by day if we work.

Mrs. Wright said that before, they didn’t have much. When she was the only source of income, it was a bit too much on her because she had so many children that she was raising but it didn’t stop her from working to make a living.

Mrs. Wright is not only a mother but also a school teacher at Malie Primary School.

“We didn’t have access to water and electricity before but now we do.

“We used to stay in the inner lands of this village but now we have moved away from the inner village because my family is still growing as my children are making their own families so we needed a bigger place.

“Some members of the family are staying in the inner village while my three children and I are staying here with other family members.

“My children have always been my priority and they are now living successful lives supporting me and their own little families.

Mrs.Wright said all her children are now working, one works at Sheraton Aggie Greys while the other two are following her footsteps as teachers.

“They have grown up but they still need me. They need me more than I need them but as a mother, I have no problem with that because I like working to help my children while I still can.

Mrs.Wright said that apart from being a teacher, she has started on preparing everything for her own little shop at home to make some extra money.

“I’m a hardworking person and I like to always work and hopefully one day I will be able to build a new house from the money I get from being a teacher, which is my own job.

“So that’s how life is so far for us and I guess it’s safe to say that life is great.”
