Even parents need loving

Love your parents.

Sometimes we become so busy growing we forget they will not always be around.

Lamona Tiotio Salesa of Samusu, believes we need to make every day count.

The 25-year-old says this is something young people of today need to be reminded of.

“Don’t just love your parents with words, love them and show it in action,” he told the Village Voice.

“Love them with all your heart and give them your all by serving and obeying them everyday.”

“I think this is one of the things that our youth and children need help in because they have forgotten that our parents is our priority.”

“Most young people now, they don’t know what to do anymore. They don’t know their roles.”

“In fact, young people of today need a lot of improvement when it comes to taking care of families and how to work to make a contribution to them.”

“That’s why the only thing that comes to mind when I see the youth of my village is for them to have work opportunities instead of wasting their time roaming the streets and going to other people’s places.”

“I also believe there’s a lot of development that can be made here in our village for the betterment of our young people.”

Lamona is a farmer and he has been ever since he has learned from his father.

He has six siblings and he’s the second eldest amongst them.

“For me, I think nothing else can make my father happier than seeing me doing what he used to do; working the lands.”

“Even though it’s not much but I think that’s the feeling that every parent get when their children turn out to be like them or even follow their footsteps.”

“I’ve been working on developing our plantation as well as our vegetables patch; that’s why you caught me on the road at this time.”

“I’m thankful to still have my father by my side because I don’t know how to imagine a life without him.”

“I’m also thankful to God for everything especially for adding this day to my father’s life and every other father out there.”

With that, he wishes every father and everyone in the world  “Happy Fathers Day and God bless.”
