Sopo Sua was honored with the title of Manu’alesagalala and was blessed by his family and village at Toamua on Tuesday.

The new Manu’alesagalala resides in American Samoa but he will soon relocate to Samoa to serve his family, village, district and church.

The title has been vacant for 10 years since Manu’alesagalala Keresoma Tuano Lula passed away in 2005.

Sua was selected from several names nominated by different members of their family and he was their final choice after several meetings on who best to provide their family with good leadership.

The bestowal started with a short service to thank God for his guidance and his care. The new title holder was blessed by three village pastors.

Ulu Kini Ulu offered words of encouragement and advice to the new title holder in his journey to lead his family down the right path. He emphasized that he must be true in his decision making and love his whole family.

The new Manu’alesagalala is the son of the late Su’a Solovi and Agalii Manu’a Lula Sua.
