The LDS Pesega College is looking to continue their good form in the School of Origin tournament on Saturday and eventually secure the Governor's Cup.

Undefeated last week, Pesega College will take on St. Joseph's College and Chanel College at the ACP Marist Stadium, Lotopa, when the competition resumes.

"The results last week was very good, I am very proud of my boys," Pesega coach, Dallin Talataina said.

"Our late registration was due to miscommunication and also we wanted to make sure from our students that they are keen to take on the challenge and are committed to this.

"They only had three days to train for this tournament so I guess what really helped them throughout their preparations is that fact that few of them play in clubs, so they are already familiar with the sport the only thing that was needed for them to work on is their combination and getting to know their other players."

The coach said the vibes at training this week was positive.

"We are focused on bettering our defense," he said.

"All the teams that will be competing on Saturday are all there to win so we need to bring our A game and make sure we will get great results. We have a few changes to our players because some students have decided to join the team and of course we put them on the team."

Saint Joseph's College has two teams and they are ranked second and third.

Coach Paulo Tuugamusu said they want to improve on last week's effort.

"We have to improve on our defence," he said. "That's the area where we were poor in last week.

"We lost possession a lot, our defense was not strong enough and that's what we've been working on. It's about doing the basics right."
