The University of the South Pacific U.S.P. held a competition for students to share their experience with online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The requirements for all videos were that they be original, should not be shared on social media before entering the competition, should not use the Tik Tok application and should not be more than 30 seconds in length.

Deadline for entries was on 30 Tuesday June. The video competition was advertised on various social media platforms for interested students. 

Only the best four entries were selected from numerous creative and informative videos who received prizes sponsored by Federal Pacific Finance and Samoa Stationery and Books. 

A prize-giving was held last week Wednesday at the U.S.P. Library Conference where the best four prize winners uplifted their prizes. 

U.S.P congratulated the four winners and all the students who participated in the competition.

Special acknowledgement was given to the Federal Pacific Finance General Manager, Afamasaga Opeta Siilata, for the $300 cash prize and S.S.A.B’s Chief Executive Officer, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai, for the schoolbags and the $200 worth of vouchers on offer, as well as their support for the initiative. 

First prize winner, Dominic Iosefo acknowledged the University for the Initiative and the major sponsors of the competition. 

“I want to say thank you to U.S.P. for this video competition that has helped us students share how important online learning it is to us,” he said 

“A massive shout out to our sponsors Federal Pacific and SSAB for always supporting U.S.P.”
