The Supreme Court has issued a warrant of arrest against Samoa Faalogo after he failed to appear to answer a charge of murder.

Faalogo and his co-defendant, Faafetai Ofisa, have been charged in relation to an incident in 2016.

But when Supreme Court Justice Leiataualesa Daryl Clarke called the defendants on Tuesday, Faalogo did not appear.

His non-appearance was attributed to poor organisation on the part of Tanumalala Prison.

“This is quite unsatisfactory from Tanumalala Prison,” Justice Leiataualesa said.

He noted that the case was “a longstanding matter" but it has yet to go to trial.

The Judge then gave an order for the defendants to be waiting and ready to appear before Court when it convenes at 10am next Monday.
