Man pleads guilty to manslaughter over wife's death
A man from Lalomanu has pleaded guilty to manslaughter over the death of his wife in July last year in a tragic case of domestic violence.
The defendant, 50-year-old Sosene Lion, is scheduled for sentencing in the Supreme Court next week.
He appeared before Supreme Court Justice Lei'ataualesa Daryl Clarke, on Monday morning.
The defendant pleaded guilty to killing his 52-year-old wife in Lalomanu on 24 July last year and will be sentenced on 30 June, 2020.
The couple have children.
Lawyer, Mauga Precious Chang, is representing the defendant.
Attorney General Office lawyer, Fuifui Loane, is the prosecutor.
