Mother finds dying daughter
A mother went through the harrowing experience of finding her daughter during her final moments last week.
The woman found the body of her 15-year-old daughter behind their house, unconscious.
She passed away later.
This was confirmed by the Police Media Officer, Su’a Lemamea Tiumalu, who said the girl’s death is now the subject of a Police investigation.
Su’a said the deceased was playing with her 14-year-old brother at the back of the house that day.
When asked by his mother about his sister's whereabouts, he said she was at the back of the house.
“The mother was worried and she went to look for her and found her facing the ground,” he said.
Su’a said the family rushed her to the hospital but unfortunately she did not make it.
“A post mortem report is being requested because there were injuries on her face,” he said. “We have launched a full investigation to determine the cause of death.”
The deceased is from Vaiusu. She was a student of St. Mary’s College.
