The Samoa Police Service is pleading to the public for assistance in locating a teenager who has been missing since last week.

A 14-year-old girl, Talaleomalie Lautala of Maagiagi, was last seen by her family on Thursday, 23 April.

The young woman reportedly left her family for Seventh Day Adventist School at Lalovaea and has since not returned.

She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

The Samoa Police Service posted her photo and description on Monday afternoon to the law enforcement organisation's social media pages, in a bid to seek information from the public.

Within less than an hour the post had been shared more than 300 times.

Those who have any information that might lead to information about the girl's whereabouts, are encouraged to please contact a nearby Police station or call 22222.
