The Emergency Room at the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital has been kept busy as doctors and nurses have been called to return to work to deal with the developing mass Prison break Tanumalala.

Sources at the hospital say ambulances and FESA officials have brought in what appears to be injured prisoners and some prison officers.

The situation follows a mass prison break at 8.44pm on Monday night.

The Police estimated that more than 29 prisoners have escaped from the Tanumalala Prisons.

"We advise the public especially those living in Aleisa, Tanumalala, Leulumoega areas close to Tanumalala prison to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities around your area tonight."

The Police are stopping cars at Aleisa as they begin the search.

There are unconfirmed reports that some of the prisoners have already been captured.

The Police are also urging members of the public and taxi drivers not to pick up anyone waving them down on the road as a precautionary measure.
