Samoan dances and traditional tattooing are memorable experiences that Switzerland-based Aian Jaffe will take back with her.

She told the Samoa Observer that her stay in the country has been enjoyable since she flew in to Samoa with her husband, but it is the hospitality of the locals and their demeanour that has made a big impression on her.

"For me it is not the place but the people, I am a long way from home but the people are so polite and very welcoming. The ocean is beautiful and the sun here is giving me the right amount of heat unlike the heat in Mexico,” she said.

The dances by the Samoan women have impressed her, especially in how they moved their fingers gracefully.

"The dances here are beautiful, the body language and fingers’ movements really caught my eyes, they were so graceful and amazing to watch. The dances and entertainments here just explains the humble culture and simply keeping it alive for the next generation,” she added.

As guests of the Taumeasina Island Resort, Mrs Jaffe said they are pleased with the resort’s service and the welcome smiles of its staff.

“We are always assisted by the staff members to ensure that we enjoy our stay and experience the greatness of Samoa, I will definitely come back with my two kids if we can, and I highly recommend Samoa for everyone that is planning vacations and anything!”

She said Samoa has everything a visitor would want to see and these include the traditional dances.

“It is the best place to be, the people are friendly. The ocean is beautiful and it has everything you did not realise you were looking for. The dances here will tell a story and you will feel the connection and fall in love with the graceful movements.”

Mrs Jaffe flies out of the country on Thursday.
