Power fluctuation damages Samoa Observer printing press
The Electrical Power Corporation has not responded to several calls after severe power fluctuations caused damage to electrical machinery over the weekend, including Samoa Observer’s own printing press.
After midnight on Sunday morning, power disruptions cause a major surge which affected the printer and delayed production and delivery of the Sunday Samoan for several hours.
It is not known what has been causing the power fluctuations. The Samoa Observer called E.P.C. General Manager Tologata Tile Tuimalealiifano four times on Sunday but did not manage to speak with him.
Written questions have been sent to the E.P.C. for Tologata’s consideration.
Since the technical problems due to the power surge, the printing press has been restored to full capacity.
