Suspended cop charged for drunk, dangerous driving

A suspended Police officer appeared in the District Court on Tuesday, charged with drunk driving and dangerous driving.

Corporal Nepa Camilla Papali’i i, who has been placed on suspension since she crashed into a family home at Puipa’a, appeared before Judge Leota Raymond Schuster.

She was represented by lawyer, Ladesha Stevenson Papali’i 

Corporal Nepa's lawyer asked for the matter to be adjourned so she could seek instruction from her client.

Judge Leota granted the application and adjourned the matter until Tuesday 18 February 2020. 

The charges against the Police follow an investigation by the Police's Professional Standards Unit into her conduct.

The home of the family allegedly damaged by the suspended police officer has been fixed and paid for by the accused.
