A day of heavy downpours has brought flooding to parts of the Apia Township, with the authorities cautioning members of the public to be careful.

The Land Transport Authority has cautioned members of the public about crossing the Moamoa ford and other fords due to flooding.

Parts of the Apia Township have submerged as a result of rising water.

The Samoa Met Office had issued a Heavy Rain warning for all of Samoa.

This is due to a moist northeasterly wind flow that has brought heavy rain during the past few days.

A flood advisory has also been issued for residents living near “major rivers and vulnerable areas.”

More details soon.
