A young couple from New Zealand welcomed the New Year in Samoa and say they have had a wonderful time.

Kaleb Dennis and Riley Falconer were enjoying their morning walk at Taumeasina Island Resort when the Samoa Observer caught up with them about welcoming 2020 in Samoa.

Mr. Dennis confessed that he has been in Samoa a few times before, and because of that he doesn’t quite recall how he heard about beautiful Samoa in the first place.

“Since we’ve been here this time around for a holiday, we’ve seen all the beaches and waterfalls on the other side of the island. It’s been quite relaxing.” he said.

During their stay, they visited many local attractions and enjoyed the hospitality of the Samoan people, having highlighted their experiences at the Papase’ea Sliding Rocks as their most fun.

The pair from Christchurch New Zealand, says Samoa is a lot nicer than back home.

“Probably because of all the things that you can do in this weather, and the people are pretty nice as well.”

Their stay is to end soon, with the pair leaving on Saturday to return home.

“We have to give back our rental later on today, so we’ll probably take one last cruise around before we do that,” Ms. Falconer said.
