Wedding bliss at Asaga Savai'i
Love was definitely in the air on Saturday as Mefiposeta Laulu and Faatuvale Tafili Talavou were joined together as one in holy matrimony before their families and friends at Asaga Savai'i.
The bride, Fa'atuvale Tafili Talavou, who is now Mrs. Laulu, is the third daughter of Tafili Talavou and Line Tu'umatavai's seven children.
She is from the villages of Asaga and Matavai in Savaii.
The groom, Mefiposeta Laulu is the son of Omeka and Laulu from Vailoa Faleata.
The love-birds dated for three years and are now on their way to eternity as one.
Mrs. Laulu was overwhelmed with excitement as her dream of marrying her soulmate came true.
"I'm glad that i get to share the joy of this day with those who have been there for me and my husband all along," she said.
"It was not an easy journey for both of us but we thank God and are so happy that we are finally, happily married."
Mrs. Laulu who resides in New Zealand said the main challenge for them was long distance.
"But i am happy that we overcame all the challenges and finally made our promises to love and cherish one another until death."
Close to hundreds people gather together at the Congregational Christian Church at Asaga to witness such a special occasion.
Reverend Fa'ataualofa Taefu officiated the service and blessed the newly-weds.
