Samoa has become a regular stop for one kiwi family.

Speaking to the Samoa Observer,  42-year-old, Vanessa Brown, said this is her fourth time in Samoa and she loves it.

They were relaxing at Taumeasina Island Resort on Friday morning when she spoke to the newspaper.

“Seeing the country moving forward has been wonderful to note," she said.

"The economy is getting better and we have also seen a lot of cars on the road."

Vanessa, her husband, Robert Shearer, 46, and their three kids arrived in Samoa on Thursday.

This is their children's second time in Samoa and they love it.

“Because of the energy of the land and the people are so friendly," she said.

"Also because it not over crowded of people."

During her first visit, she stayed at Coconuts Beach Resort, where she felt like that not many people knew about Samoa.

During her second and third time in Samoa, they stayed with a friend and they had the opportunity to explore the island.

“They took us to places to see more of the villages which was so humbling,” she said.

Among their favourite places in Samoa is the To Sua Trench.

The family returns on Tuesday.
