Trainers get training at Orator

The International Labour Organization (I.L.O) under ONE UN YEP (Youth Employment Porgramme) in partnership with Ministry of Women Community and Social Development held a National Career Counselling training for trainers at the Orator Hotel this week.

The I.L.O National Coordinator for Samoa, Tomasi Peni, said the training is part of I.L.O’s contribution to the commemoration of Samoa National Youth Week and International Youth Day. 

A similar training was held for Yazaki (see story). 

The training is an on-going partnership with stakeholders on career counselling skills and intention that participants by the end of the trainings will be able to conduct career counselling or provide trainings of the same to their workplaces. 

In the closing remarks, Mata’ao Maria Tiatia Bernard, acknowledged the continuous support of I.L.O mainly on the area of Youth Employment advocacy.

Participants included representatives from government Ministries, Companies, Employers and Workers Association and civil societies.
