Children in the Campus of Hope at Tuanaimato have received a White Sunday gift worth $3,000 from the Samoan Independent Seventh Day Adventist Church (S.I.S.D.A.C.) of Upolu west on Monday.

A representative from the S.I.S.D.A.C. of Upolu west, Laulala Vaisigano, said that their assistance was not new.

“We have offered support annually for the children because they are in great need of help financially to maintain the running of their campus,” he said.

He stated that the children who are referred to the campus have been through violent acts within their families which have harmed them both physically and mentally.

“Our donation’s objective is to help in any way provide assistance for the children daily with what they need. Our group was led by Pastor Papalii Iafeta Masipau.”

Samoa Victims Support Group (S.V.S.G), Siliniu Lina Chang acknowledged the support by S.I.S.D.A.C. towards the campus.

“We thank the donors for their generosity which we are truly grateful for and appreciate because I know this is not the first time they have done this.

“They have presented the cheque especially as a gift for the children for White Sunday. The funds will go into maintaining the campus especially caring for the children.

“Our work is not easy and there are times when a thought of giving up crosses one’s mind but it is through God’s love that we endure and soldier on.

The guests at the campus were treated to a performance by the children focused on spiritual healing and not giving up on life.

The Campus of Hope caters for children who are victims of abuse and come under the umbrella of the S.V.S.G.
