Church Minister charged with rape

A church Minister has been charged and is in Police custody over allegedly raping a 16-year-old female. 

This was confirmed by the Deputy Police Commissioner, Papali'i Monalisa Tiai-Keti, in response to the Samoa Observer’s questions via email.

Papali'i said that the Criminal Investigation Division under the Samoa Police Service is investigating the matter.

She added that the church minister is scheduled to appear for Court mention on 28th October 2019 where additional charges will be filed.
