Cabinet overturns Tenders Board decision scrapping Vaia'ata Prison
“Cabinet has decided against the decision of the Tender board [to tender remaining works for the Vaiaata] and that works for the prison will resume soon.” Minister Police and Prisons, Tialavea Tionisio Hunt confirmed the Cabinet’s decision in a reversal on the much-criticised project during an interview with the Samoa Observer at his office on Tuesday evening.
