More than one hundred customers of the Transpac Samoa Company were awarded prizes on Friday as part of a promotion for the company's bonco snacks.

Held at Transpac Samoa Ltd at Vaitele on Friday, Transpac said it wanted to reward consumers of its bonco snacks, which have helped the company post recent growth. 

Some 5,800 people were involved in the promotion over two months, the company said. 

Transpac’s sales supervisor, Faapito Toala, said the company wouldn’t have made it without the support of the public.

“What we did today is simply our way to giving back to the communities and saying thanks for their support through their money spent on our products because without them, our company wouldn’t have grown,” he said.

Winners shared in prizes such as laptops, bluetooth speakers, earphones, school bags and other assorted consolation prizes.

Consumers simply had to buy two packets of bonco twisties and place them in the prize draw. 

The promotion was also open to residents of Savai'i.
