Father’s Day is this Sunday and if you are looking for something nice for dad, try out Island Rock Company Ltd.

Island Rock has been having Father’s Day specials since the beginning of the week and owner, Tuaopepe Jerry Wallwork, said they are happy to help customers choose the perfect gift at an affordable price.

“We usually have specials for Mother’s Day and Independence but we haven’t had anything for Father’s Day, so last Saturday we conducted an early bird special and the turn out was good,” he said.

“We had people who came the day before the early bird and stayed here over night because they wanted to get their hands on our electronic products - most especially our laptops and mobile phones.”

Tuaopepe said he believes fathers play an important role as the head of the family so it is important that Island Rock make this event special for them.

“The purpose is to help out the people. We are selling at prices that are below our cost and it’s something that we want to do for the people.

“One thing that I want to put out there is that we are not getting any profit from these specials, but as long as we are helping the people of Samoa, then that is the most important thing to us.

“Last week we were able to sell air conditioning units, mobile phones, televisions, laptops and so much more, all at very low prices.

“Most of the customers that came in last week were fighting for the laptops as we were selling them at a very low price.

“Some of the customers came in after the early bird specials and wanted the laptops that we were selling during the specials, so we gave them a discount and they were happy.

“This whole week, as we are getting ready for Father’s Day this coming Sunday, we are selling products at very low prices and hopefully the fathers will be able to enjoy their day.”
