Archers Olivia Hodgson and Adam Kaluzny of New Zealand landed a spot in the 2020 Olympics on the third day of the archery competition at the XVI Pacific Games at Tuana’imato.

Australia and New Zealand shot against each other in the recurve division to win the qualifying spot for the mixed team in Tokyo next year.

Hodgson and Kaluzny represented New Zealand and went head to head with Australia where they came out victorious.

The Continental Qualification Tournament event is a non-medal event, where one male and one female are set to shoot at 70 meters and there can only be one team per country.
