Newly weds begin their new lives
Let God be the foundation of everything.
That is the message from Reverend Luapene Nepo to the couple at their holy matrimony service of Aigasagaufaleai Sharon Aiono and Junior Fiaputa Aiulu on Saturday.
The newlyweds exchanged vows at the Congregational Christian Church in Afega and the reception was later held at the Sheraton Aggie Greyís Hotel.
The bride is the daughter of Aiono Leuluaíialiíi Tony and Elinoe Anesi Aiono and the groom is the son of Muaiava Siulepa and Tafumaseafa Aiulu.
In handing over his daughter, Aiono reminded the couple the meaning of true love and the commitment required of marriage.
ìMarriage is a commitment that will only be broken at the time of death.
ìLet God be the guide of all you do,î he said to his daughter.
Reverend Lepo reminded the newlyweds of their vows and particularly that no man can break what God has put together.
In her beautiful wedding gown, the bride Aigasagaufaleai exchanged ìI doísî with her husband who wore a grey, three piece suit.
During the service, the newly-weds were offered advice and relevant passages as they began their new lives togetherí
ìLove is patient, love is kind.
ìIt does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs.
ìLove does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
ìLove never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away,î was quoted to the couple on the auspicious occasion.
