Thirteen people have won prizes in a promotion run by local company Sunrise Restaurant, to mark 34 years since its establishment in Samoa.

Customers had to spend $50 tala or more to go into the draw and be in the running for prizes that cost the famous local eatery close to $30,000 totally. 

Sunrise Restaurant owners and husband and wife team, Chee Kwong Zhu and Chee Mei Chu Zhu, said the promotion is their way of giving back to the people who have supported their restaurant since its inception at the Savalalo market in 1985.

The first prize was two nights accommodation at the Taumeasina Island Resort, a Samsung LED TV and a Samsung washing machine with 10 others receiving $100 tala food vouchers.

The winner of the Samsung LED TV, Orita Pisa, from Se'ese'e, acknowledged the restaurant for their service to the country. 

Mrs. Pisa, who celebrated her 60th birthday at Sunrise Restaurant last week, was subsequently entered into the promotion last Thursday.

"I always wanted my own television in my room so I'm confident that this is a blessing from God, for someone who always kneels in front of him and asks for what she wants," she said.

The restaurant owners have appealed to the winners listed below to collect their prizes from Sunrise Restaurant.
