Man accused in Siumu stabbing granted bail

The man accused of allegedly stabbing a 21-year-old man of Siumu in April, has been granted bail. 

Iakopo Malaki, of Siumu, who faces a manslaughter charge, was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court. 

He has pleaded not guilty to the charge against him. 

His hearing is set on 18th November 2019. 

Malaki allegedly stabbed 21-year-old, Danny Kitiona Tofaeono, in April this year at the Sinalei Resort. 

The deceased was pronounced dead upon arrival. 

The incident occurred during a fiafia night at the resort.
