Badminton announces draw for Pacific Games

The draw for the seven teams that will be competing for the Badminton Mixed Team event at the upcoming Pacific Games was announced by the Games Office Wednesday afternoon.

A press statement from the office said teams have been allocated a seeded position based on the Badminton World Federation rankings.

Badminton is scheduled in the first week of the Games and will be the first event held in the newly constructed multi-sport complex at Tuanaimato, which is funded by the Government of the People’s Republic of China.

"The Mixed Team event will be played in a round robin format.  

"Each tie includes five (5) matches which includes one of each discipline: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles," it stated.
