Enrollment for Foundation students at the National University of Samoa (N.U.S.) has started.

Sera Pesi, 18, who is enrolling in the Faculty of Nursing, said she is happy that school is starting again.

“I feel excited to come back to school,” she told the Samoa Observer. 

She said Semester 1 was challenging for her, but she is looking forward to this semester and hopes to graduate.

"And what I want to achieve for this semester is to graduate."

When discussing fees that she has to pay, Sera said she paid $200 tala to register, and revealed that it was less in the first semester. 

Moana Vaoifi, 17, who studies Science in the Faculty of Science, said she is excited that Semester 2 has begun.

Looking back to her first semester, she said: “I am excited for school start again, and well my first semester was hard for me."

Ms. Vaoifi said she is going to work harder to get better grades than her first semester.

“Now this Semester I will work harder to get higher grades because I look back to my first semester and well I was not happy about my results,” she said.

Kristen  Clement Pavitt, 18, said he is happy that Semester 2 has started, though he is starting a few weeks late due to his work commitments to the Pacific Games. 

Nevertheless he is looking forward to starting his studies again.

“I am looking forward to it and work even harder for this second semester in foundation Art,” he said.

The N.U.S. Foundation students enrollment programme ends Friday.
