Designers taking part in Life Con showcased their work during a Market Day held at Tanoa Tusitala Hotel on Friday.

The aim of the market day was to gather all the participants to showcase and sell their products at discounted prices.

“It is also for the make-up artists, photographers and everyone else that will be participating in this important event. It's a day for them to gather and familiarise and sell their products and designs at very low prizes like 50 percent off,” Event Coordinator, Tyra Elisara said.

Local fashion designer, Dinah Schmidt Macdonald, was one of the participants.

“I have sold quite a few stuff today and I’m happy. I’m more proud to sell the designs that represent our heritage, our culture that’s printed on our dresses, so I’m very proud,” she said.

Another  clothing shop participating this year is Rimani Samoa.

Supervisor, Tapa’au Tuipulotu, said it's good exposure for them.

"We've had a lot of customers coming and we’re glad we joined the Life Con market day and event this year."

Four international designers have joined this year's Life Con.

They share the same passion of expressing the Samoan culture and heritage through their designs.
