Siblings Georgia and Tom Crosson from Auckland, New Zealand couldn't have opted for a perfect place to relax, lay back and enjoy the sunshine than in Samoa.

The Dear Tourist team found the siblings relaxing by the beach at Sinalei Reef Resort and Spa on Thursday, when we learned that it is their first time to the island, and are here for a week.

Samoa is not their first island to visit in the Pacific, as they have also been to Fiji and Hawaii.

But compared to Fiji and Hawaii, Samoa is something else with its chilled atmosphere and not so much touristy environment.

"I think Samoa is very nice compared to Fiji where it's less commercialised and less touristy and it's chilling and relaxing to stay," Tom said.

"It's beautiful, lovely and very warming to stay and we're really enjoying the comfortable surrounding."

They came to Samoa to spend the Easter weekend but since it was three days they decided to take extra leave days from work to just relax in "beautiful Samoa".

They have also been around the villages and the experience was unique as they felt safe not having to worry about any accidents.

"The people are so friendly during out trip around to the villages and I was worried we might get a flat tyre on the road but everyone seemed like they'd help us anyways," Georgia said.

"We've been to the East side of Upolu and we've discovered the beautiful trench and I like how it's so quiet and warm and so relaxing and all," Tom added.

Asked if they would recommend Samoa to friends in terms of a destination to relax, Sarah said "definitely".

They leave tomorrow but said they are 100 percent sure they will return.
