BSL sponsors Falealili rugby tournament

Local company Business Systems Limited (B.S.L.) has donated $6,000 worth of sponsorship to the Falealili B.S.L. rugby festival tournament 2019.

The announcement was made during a ceremony held at B.S.L.’s main store in Apia yesterday.


B.S.L.’s customer service manager, Leeroy Feaunati said the sponsorship comprises uniforms for the teams, cash prizes, and trophies.

“The main reason behind our support is mainly aimed at helping the children, B.S.L. supports both education and sports because they go well together.

“We all know that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind so lending a helping hand to this tournament is all part of also assisting the development of local talent at the grassroots level.

“The children are the future, and it is very significant that we are part of their childhood developments for better futures ahead,” said Leeroy.


One of the members of the organising committee, Soi Lalovi Lome expressed their heartfelt gratitude to B.S.L. for its assistance.

“Words fail to express how we thankful we are for your support in our efforts to help develop the local skill sets within our young players but we will pray to God for his never ending blessings upon your company for their kind hearts.

“A total of 10 schools have been confirmed to partake in our tournament: Sapoe, Salani, Salesatele, Sapunaoa, Satalo, Nene, Vaovai, Saleilua, Manumalo, Siumu, they are all primary schools."


“Our tournament will commence on this coming Friday at the Poutasi Field, Falealili where there will be games between two age grade divisions: U14 Girls and U14 Boys and each division will be divided in two pools of five teams. The girls will be playing in the quick rip where there is no physical contact whereas the boys will have physical contact because they will be playing sevens rugby.”
