The Samoa Shipping Corporation (S.S.C.) has advised that its freight service for vehicles whose owners want to ship them to Savai'i is fully booked from today until Sunday.

The S.S.C. put out a public notice on its Facebook page Wednesday, to alert travellers planning to go to the big island, as the country prepares for the upcoming Easter long weekend.

Despite the full bookings of its vehicle freight service, the Corporation said there will be "special trips" during the week, and the best option for those who want to move their vehicles to Savai'i is to be on standby at the Mulifanua wharf and to immediately make the payment before boarding.

"And payments for vehicles can only be done on that day at the wharf," stated the SSC notice.

A staff member of the corporation told the Samoa Observer Wednesday that the the Fotu o Samoa Ship will be added to the service this week between Upolu and Savai'i.

"We are always very booked during these times of the year and so it's always normal for this to happen," the staff added.

They also asked that the public should contact their office or speak to their operations team should they need clarification and confirmation of the special trips.
