SSAB Schools National XV's Rugby Championship quarterfinals a success

The SSAB Schools National XV's Rugby Championship quarterfinals attracted a crowd to watch four rounds of the under 19's rugby Monday.

Samoa Rugby Union has the results:

U19 Boys 

The Quarter Finals started with reigning U19 Boys Champions Leifiifi College defeating  Safata College 24-8.

In the second quarterfinal, Pesega College defeated Amoa College 34-27 in a close see-saw match.

The third round saw Leulumoega Fou College beat Vaiola College 41-10 with the boys in Red showing off their silky back division skills led by Skipper Des Sepulona and Tuna Tuitama who have been regulars in national age teams in recent years.

And finally Vaimauga College defeat St Joseph's College 23-11 in a tense match which Vaimauga dominated the game in close quarter exchanges in the forwards.


Today Wednesday April 10 will see the U19, U17 and U15 boys semi finals, as well as the beginning of the Under 19 girls competition. Seiuli said the U19 matchup between Leulumoega Fou College and Vaimauga College is a "must seem between two heavy contenders."

U19 Boys 

Semi Final 1: Leulumoega Fou College vs Vaimauga College
Semi Final 2: Leifiifi College plays Pesega College

U17 Boys

Semi Final 1: Maluafou College vs Leifiifi College
Semi Final 2: Aleipata College vs St Joseph's College

U15 Boys

Semi Final 1: Don Bosco College vs Maluafou College
Semi Final 2: Leulumoega Fou College vs St Joseph's College
