Two vehicles collided opposite the Chikalicious Restaurant in Lalovaea Wednesday.

A dark green van was going from the Lalovaea Prayer House towards the main road when it crashed into a white mini-van.

The white mini-van is a private business vehicle owned by Brok Belcher of Master Plumbing.

Mr Belcher not only expressed his concerns at the damage caused by the driver of the other vehicle, but also about careless drivers causing accidents and damaging properties.

When asked about what he thought should be done, he told Samoa Observer that insurance for his car is all he wants.

"He was suppose to give way, everyone saw what happened and I want insurance for my car," he said.

An eyewitness, Joseph from Lalovaea, said the van was suppose to give way to the mini-van and other vehicles.

"We saw that there was a small gap for him to turn and drive," Joseph said.

The driver of the vehicle that crashed onto Mr Belcher's car was taken to the Police station for questioning and this newspaper was not able to get a comment from the driver.

Attempts to get comments from the Police and the Land Transport Authority on the accident were unsuccessful as of press time.
