A man has been charged with murder after an incident that started with throwing stones resulted in the death of another person.

Maualalo Senetari is alleged to have been involved in a dispute at Faleasiu on March 9, 2019 where stones were thrown resulting in another person being injured. 

Senetari was charged with murder following the death of the person involved a week later. 

He appeared before Chief Justice, Patu Tiava’asue Falefatu Sapolu earlier this week.
Lawyer Lucy Sio Ofoia of the Attorney General's Office was the prosecutor.

 Chief Justice Patu told Senetari because of the seriousness of the charge he is faces he will be granted legal aid.

The accused is remanded in custody and will appear again next week to set a hearing date for his trial.
