Marist Boxing continues in Savai'i

Today is Day Two of the Marist Last Man Standing international amateur boxing tournament held at the Don Bosco Hall in Salelologa, Savai'i.

Five local teams from Upolu-Savai’I Boxing Ring, Tumua ma Pule ma Aigafealofani Boxing Ring, Itu o Tane Boxing Ring, Plantation Boxing and Marist Boxing are competing with the New Zealand Boxing Club and the South Australia Boxing Club over various divisions.

The tournament is also a test event for boxing in the Pacific Games competition which will also be held on Savai'i in July

Day Two saw the semifinal bouts fought, with the finals and a corporate fight night event set for tomorrow.

Karl Apelu (Marist Boxing) defeated Pea Ioane (Upolu Savai'i)

Jordan Richards (South Australia) defeated Aaron Lavea (Plantation)
