There is no age limit when it comes to pursuing studies in theology.

This was according to 63-year-old Peseta Luteru from Puapua Savai'i, who graduated from Malua Theological College last Saturday, with a certificate in theological studies level IV

The father of six believes that no matter what the age of the student is, anyone is eligible to study a course such as theology.

“I truly believe that even though I may be old but my heart and passion for studying the word of God is young.

“I am overjoyed and grateful to our heavenly father for his guidance and protection throughout my journey –without him I would not be able to achieve this goal.

“My journey started in the beginning of 2017 when I was advised by our pastor to enter into the bible studying college – and so I studied for two years,” he said.

The graduate from Savai'i said that it was not an easy journey for him and he had to overcome a number of challenges.

“There were so many odds against me like family and church commitments but I thank God that he was always a few steps before in helping me.

“I am very happy to say that the teachings I have learned has improved my relationship with my family and it has enabled me share with my kids to help them also in anything that they are going through.

“I want to pursue further education in achieving my diploma in Theology with the purpose of further understanding of God’s word.

“It is never too old to learn more about the word of God.”
