Marist Boxing will be hosting an International Amateur Boxing Tournament in Savai’i from Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th of March 2019 at the Don Bosco Hall in Salelologa.

 This Tournament is sanctioned by both the Samoa Boxing Federation (SBF) and the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA). 

The Last Man Standing tournament is a test event for Boxing in the upcoming Pacific Games which will be held in Samoa this July.

The Last Man Standing will consist of five local teams representing Upolu-Savai’I Boxing Ring, Tumua ma Pule ma Aigafealofani Boxing Ring, Itu o Tane Boxing Ring, Plantation Boxing and Marist Boxing. 

The international teams competing are the New Zealand Boxing Club and South Australia Boxing Club, which will be arriving in Samoa on Tuesday 26th March.

The Competition will have preliminary rounds on the 28th and 29th of March with the finals to be held on Saturday the 30th, together with a Corporate Fight Night event in the evening. 

There are 4 Corporate Bouts; Battle of the Sports, Battle of the Minds, Battle of the Hotels and the Main Event featuring Tofilau Nanai Lami.
