CONGRATULATIONS: Samoa’s top female powerlifter, Matile Sitagata, has secured Samoa’s first medal at the Powerlifting World Classic Championship in Texas, United States.

Sitagata claimed a silver medal in the deadlift category yesterday with a lift of 225kgs. She is pictured here with coach, Pepe Fiaailetoa Fruean, fellow powerlifter, Oliva Kirisome and a Samoan supporter in the United States. Kirisome is scheduled to compete today.
