After a year of courtship, Galu Motunu’u and Foliga Salatielu have exchanged matrimonial vows. The marriage ceremony took place before family and friends at the Samoa Unity Christian Church at Nuu yesterday.

The wedding ceremony was conducted by Pastor Ropeti Mataafa, the founder of the church.

“Today you are one, and God has put you together so nothing and no one will be able to separate you,” he said.

“May you be a blessing to others and may the love of God guide you and bind you in this next step of your life.”

Galu Motunuuu is 27 years old, and he is the second of four offspring of Motunuu Peleti Sivā and Afega Peleti.

He hails from the village of Tuasivi, Savaii and he is an employee at Amau Mall.

His wife, Foliga Salatielu is the eldest daughter of seven children of Salatielu Faavale and Taua Salatielu from Vaitele Fou. She works at one of the shops at Vaitele.
