To’aletai backs Parker all the way

To’aletai David Tua is confident Lupesoliai Joseph Parker will make Samoa very proud and become a world champion.

Lepesoliai is currently undefeated with 18 wins under his belt with 16 of them through TKO.

During a brief trip to Samoa, To’aletai told the Samoa Observer he has a lot of respect for Lupesoliai.

“Joseph is doing very well right now, he has youth on his side which is always a plus,” he said.

“I think he will make it really big in due time, there’s no need to rush.”

The only concern To’aletai has, is that history doesn’t repeat itself.

“I think my only concern is that I hope the people backing him are doing a proper job,” he said.

“After what happened to me I really do hope he’s well looked after, but yeah, the sky is the limit, I feel he has what it takes to be world champion.”

When asked about the recent ‘Rumble in Paradise’ boxing event, To’aletai jokingly said that he wishes to have the same treatment.

“It was very good for Samoa to host a boxing match here on our soil, it’s good to promote the sport of boxing,” he said.

“But just like Joseph, I should have a fight here in Samoa, just one last time; I know it will be hard to organize though.”
