Australia helps Samoa Police
The Police Training Unit and Firearms Licensing Team were gifted two fit for purpose vehicles by the Samoa-Australia Police Partnership for training and license inspections in both Upolu and Savaii.
The Commissioner of Police, Fuiavailili Egon Keil, thanked the government and people of Australia for their generosity during a ceremony in Apia.
He said the vehicles will significantly improve the Samoa Police’s capability.
The Women Advisory Network of the Samoa Police Service was also gifted a barbeque grill to assist them with fundraising activities and for networking in the broader community.
