Netball Samoa Development Academy kicked off in full swing last Saturday at Gym 3, Tuana’imato with 111 young players – girls and boys between 14-18 years registering for an eight (8)week program. The turnout exceeded all expectations in particular with players, teachers and families coming from Aleipata, Safata and Aana No 1 District.

The main focus is to provide an elite, holistic netball program that focuses on the development of the individual athlete and their ability to contribute to a team environment.

C.E.O. Rosemarie Esera was over the moon with the tremendous participation and how promising it is for the future of Netball Samoa.  "The challenge will be to keep the players engaged with Netball while focusing on their educational aspirations."   She continued with extending her sincere appreciation to the volunteers and teachers that have joined the program.

One Netball Pacific is a partnership between Netball Samoa and Netball Australia through the Australian Government’s Pacific Sports Partnerships initiative.
