The process of selling Bluesky Samoa to the Fijian company, Amalgamated Telecom Holdings (A.T.H) has been referred to the Office of the Regulator.

This was confirmed by the Minister of Communication, Information and Technology Afamasaga Rico Tupa’i during his interview with the Samoa Observer.

“They have also submitted their application for Federal Communications Commission (F.C.C) approval from the United States of America.

“However, in terms of local jurisdiction, their application with the Regulator’s office means it is underway.

“They also have their own timeframe to work within and they need to make sure that the application meets all the information that is required.

“So that’s ongoing at the moment and Bluesky is keeping the government updated on what’s happening.”
