More financial help has arrived for Samoa’s only Olympic medalist, Ele Opeloge.

Yesterday, at Farmer Joe Magi, General Manager, A.J. Cowley handed over a cheque of $5,034 to Ele.

The funds were raised through Farmer Joe’s  Promotion, which concluded May 6th.  For every bottle of Natural Samoa Water sold , .20 sene went towards the  Ele Opeloge Donation.

The promotion captured the attention of many Samoans and as such the promotion was extended to include other Farmer Joe Outlets.

General Manager, A.J. Cowley said,“ Together we have collected a little over $5,000 tala and it is a privilege for Farmer Joe & Natural Samoa Water  to present this check today to Ele Opeloge  as a token of our appreciation for all her hard work and achievements in the weight lifting arena.”

He also added that Mynas Mini Mart  in Vailima came on board to support the initiative.

The funds are a greatly appreciated injection as Ele Opeloge confirmed she is back in the gym striving for more medals.

Ele gracefully accepted the check and thank Farmer Joe and all of Samoa who purchased a bottle to help raise funds.

Ele was treated to a true Samoan heroine’s welcome.

There was plenty of food, and great entertainment provided by the Catholic Youth of Uluoloa.
