More than a hundred mothers of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa gathered at the E.F.K.S Youth Hall yesterday. The occasion was the annual fellowship for the wives of the congregation’s pastors.

The two-day event is guided by the theme “E lele le toloa ae ma’au i le vai.”

Salomina Faletoese, of C.C.C.S Falealupo-uta said she is grateful for the programme because it provides them with an opportunity to catch up with their peers.  “This programme is very important for us,” she said. “From here, we are able to renew our strength for God’s work when we return to our respective villages.  “It’s about developing very important relationships for us all…how we share everything in God’s way so that we could contribute at where we serve in building God’s church.”

Nimoe Aieni-Seve from the C.C.C.S. at Fuailalo said the gathering is about encouraging one another.

“Paul stated in Ephesians 4:29 that ‘Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen’.” “It’s something that we should live by, it’s not just today but for the rest of our journey with our Heavenly Father.”

From the C.C.C.S. at Siumu, Maupenei Tuia thanked the church for their continuous support.

“I believe that without the support from the church we wouldn’t be here today,” she said. “This is a wonderful opportunity so let’s make the most of it.”
