Easter in our everyday lives

The message of Jesus dying on the cross to save us, and then rising from the dead was acted out by the pastors and their wives on Friday last week.

The performance was a great way to teach the congregation about the story of Easter.

For Christians, Good Friday is one of the most important days on the calendar; a time when everyone must realize the pain our Lord Savior had went through.

“Today’s theme is our "New birth into a living hope," said Father Iose.

“It's a time to reflect on salvation, redemption, and the future coming of Christ's kingdom.”

“Jesus didn't die on the cross or rise from the dead in spite of our everyday lives.

“He died on the cross knowing that daily life would remain exactly what it alwayshas.

“God brought Jesus back to life so that he can live in us, so he whispers to us on those rainy, cranky, not-feeling-holy-at-all, days and so that we can ask him for our daily bread, our daily dose of patience and humility and laughter and grace.
