Thirty-three-year old Feagaiga Eteai, from Faleula-uta, has a dream.

She wants to be able to find a job so that she can build a better home.

As a stay at home mother, her family depends on the fruits of their plantation for survival.

“We both don’t have jobs to provide for our children,” she said about her and her husband.

“The plantation is the only way to earn us money for our family.”

As such, she said life is hard.

“I sell crops such as taro, banana and others to earn some money.”

Her biggest regret is their house.

“As you can see, our house is not that good but what we are looking forward to is being able to find help to build a proper one for my children.

“There are lots of them and the kids have grown bigger, we don’t  all fit very well in our house.”

She also wants a job that pays regularly.

“Both of us are looking for jobs, whatever job we get, we will work hard because our kids need the money.

“Sometimes I feel sorry for my kids because I push them really hard to do their school work but our house is tough because it doesn’t provide a good environment for them to study.

“Hopefully in the future I get a job to fulfill our dream of having a new house.”
